When Royal Caribbean International approached us with the challenge of building a train dining car experience on their latest cruise liner, Utopia of the Seas, we thought they were playing.
Luckily for us, playing is where we have most fun. So we set out to make the impossible completely feasible, by building a fully immersive 19 Mile Wild West scene that would keep diners steeped in frontier action from amuse-bouche to after dinner drinks.

The Experience
Our task was to create a fully realistic digital world, that would allow diners to feel as if they were truly sitting in a train cart, passing through America’s wild west. Part of a full dinner theatre experience, diners found themselves in the middle of a train robbery, complete with gunslingers, conductors and damsels in distress.
Every scene was painstakingly generated to ensure a compelling view that never repeats itself, wasn’t distorted and most importantly, won’t make anyone seasick…
The Results?
19 Miles of Wild West train tracks on The Utopia Of The Seas, that took cruise attendees into a whole new world and timeline all together. Utopia Station proved that you can bring audiences along for a fully immersive ride, even when they’re in the middle of the ocean.
